Stay informed with Notifications

A small, quiet channel from ebizmarts to your Magento admin. New versions, new features and security notices, and nothing else.

The extension carries a small, quiet channel from ebizmarts to your admin: new versions, new features and security notices, and nothing else. No marketing, no noise; if a message arrives, it is worth your minute. You never need to watch an inbox; anything that matters shows up right here.

Where to find it

Go to Marketing → Intuit Mailchimp → Notifications.

The page opens filtered to Unread messages by default, so you see only what’s new. Use the All Messages filter in the toolbar to see your full message history, or switch to Read to review messages you’ve already opened.

If you have multiple store views connected, the store dropdown lets you filter messages by store.

How messages arrive

The extension checks for new messages automatically, once per hour, as part of its normal background schedule. You don’t need to do anything; new messages appear the next time the hourly check runs.

If you want to check immediately, click Check notifications in the toolbar. The extension schedules an early check (it runs within about a minute) and the list refreshes automatically.

Checks run in the background

The Check notifications button queues an early check; it does not make a live connection in the moment you click. The message list updates after the background job completes, usually within a minute.

These messages arrive through the extension’s support connection to ebizmarts; what that connection shares, and your control over it, is covered in Privacy, data & compliance.

Reading a message

Click any row to open the full message in a popup. Opening the popup marks the message as read automatically; you don’t need to take a separate action.

To mark multiple messages as read at once, select their checkboxes and choose Mark as read from the Actions menu above the list.

Priority levels

Each message has a priority label that tells you how urgent it is:

Priority What it means
Critical Requires your immediate attention.
Major Important; act when you can.
Minor Informational, lower urgency.
Notice General announcements or tips.

Messages are rare by design.

The notification banner

The extension is deliberately quiet inside your admin, too. Individual messages never pile up anywhere: one slim banner appears when something is unread, tells you notifications are waiting, and brings you here. Read them, and it disappears.

  • An orange banner means you have unread messages at Major or lower priority.
  • A red banner means at least one unread message is Critical.

The banner disappears as soon as you mark all messages as read. It reappears if new messages arrive.

Questions along the way? Troubleshooting has the answers, and ebizmarts support is one email away.
