Monitoring & health

Is it connected and syncing well?

How to read the connection and health signals at a glance, and what to do when something looks off.

The extension surfaces its own health in a few places so you don’t have to dig. Here’s where to look and what each signal means.

Where to look

The quickest check needs no digging at all: open Marketing → Intuit Mailchimp → Configuration at the store-view scope and the header shows the connection at a glance. Opening it reveals the full picture: account, Mailchimp store, audience and sync dates.

If the account link ever drops, a banner on the Cron Monitor says it plainly: “Mailchimp is disconnected”, with the detail “Sync events are not being delivered. Click to reconnect.” The fix is right there: the banner carries a Reconnect to Mailchimp button.

The Cron Monitor’s System Status verdict grades the background jobs; Keep an eye on your sync shows how to read it.

The QoS Report page grades your recent deliveries to Mailchimp: Healthy means the last hour completed without unresolved failures; Degraded means something recently failed and has not yet been resolved. The same page holds the relay view: every message the extension has ever sent to ebizmarts for support and diagnostics, listed in full. What is shared, and why, is covered in Privacy, data & compliance.

Readings clear on their own

Both “Degraded” and “Needs attention” look back over a rolling time window. After you fix the underlying problem (restart cron, reconnect the account, resolve the error), give it a few minutes. As the recent failures age out of the window, the reading returns to green.

Self-healing: most hiccups resolve on their own

When Mailchimp is briefly unreachable or asks the extension to slow down, the extension backs off automatically and retries later. Nothing is lost: the items stay in the queue and drain once Mailchimp is responsive again. You don’t need to do anything.

Resume is one click

After repeated failures, or when you press Stop yourself, the extension holds that account paused so nothing thrashes while the problem stands. When you are ready, open the Mailchimp accounts page (the overflow menu on the ops tab strip) and click Resume; the queue picks up right where it left off.

What each signal points to

  • “Mailchimp is disconnected” banner → click Reconnect on the banner.
  • Behind / Degraded readings → most often cron; the Cron Monitor shows which job.
  • A paused account → Resume on the Mailchimp accounts page.
